OUTREACH & VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

The Singles participate in several outreach ministries. These are listed below.

Tender Mercies Dinner

Hyde Park Singles volunteer to serve dinner to people in need at the Tender Mercies buildings in Over-the-Rhine. The dinner is held the 3rd Thursday of each month. There is a 2 hour time commitment. For details call Dave at 513-231-5284.

P.A.C.E

PACE is an advocacy group supporting parents and children of divorced, separated and never married families. Questions, call 513-624-PACE or http://www.PACEgroup.org .

Physical Disabilities Support Group

The disability group meets twice a year for food, fellowship, faith, and some fun time. They meet once in late July for a nice picnic. The other big event is a Christmas party with a sit down dinner and special music, which is scheduled in mid-December. Person's with any form of disability are welcome to attend our semi-annual events. If you would like to be included in our mailings, on these special events, contact Pam Johnson at 979-8185.

Stephen Ministry

HPCUMC has trained Stephen Ministers who can provide Christian care to people going through a difficult period in their lives. Stephen Ministers are not counselors, but peers who provide a listening ear, prayer, comfort, and friendship. For information call Rev. David Weaver at 513-979-8184.
